About Us

Little Fish Films was set up by Anna Wilson and Paulo Sanhueza in 1997. At that time we felt that the media industry was restrictive: our mission was to make it accessible to local and community-based groups and artists wanting to make videos about their projects. We started with a grant from the Princes Youth Business Trust and we’re still here, over 10 years later.

Anna Wilson has a degree in fine art sculpture and media, an MA in independent film and video and extensive experience of video production; from video installation and arts projects to short films and documentaries. She has devised and delivered courses and workshops at Central St Martins, Lewisham College and various other settings  Anna is based in Bristol, UK.

Paulo Sanhueza studied video production before moving into the TV and video industry in a variety of technical roles. He has taught video production at Community education Lewisham and has worked as a consultant for various media practitioners, both in the UK and Latin America. Paulo is based in London, UK.

Little Fish Films produces high quality tailor-made films and documentaries to suit all budgets. We specialise in drawing out people’s real experiences on film: we won’t put words in people’s mouths or create over-manufactured or formulaic productions. We reflect what we see.

‘Little Fish Films worked with us on our film ‘Counting on Carers’. Carers Lewisham played a big part and were central to the project. This was only made possible because of Little Fish’s sensitive and creative approach which made the filming and prodeuction process meaningful and fun! It has helped carers to feel acknowledged & valued and helped our professional colleagues and funders to have a better understanding of what Carers Lewisham offers and the positive effect that our services provide.’
